21ST CENTURY EDUCATION

Education at the global level is being transformed and all studies by leaders in global innovation show that the best path is that of project-based education.

Did you know that you only remember and use 5% of what you were taught at school?

Our academic education proposal prioritizes issues related to global problems and seeks to generate social awareness. It is about studying topics relevant to the student and society.

We are in a world that is constantly changing and that also impacts education and the way in which teachers teach our students.

In this video Silvia Rosenthal, an international advisor to the GLC, gives us an introduction to the importance of understanding that change is now and that success lies in expanding the methodology in the forms of teaching.

PROJECT-BASED EDUCATION

La PROJECT-BASED EDUCATION is a teaching methodology in which the student is the protagonist of their own learning.

The project begins with a question that motivates the student and that does not have a simple answer based on information. To solve the question, critical thinking is necessary on the part of the student (judging between alternatives, seeking the most efficient path, reviewing evidence, developing a plan, and others).

We invite you to visit one of the many exhibitions of projects that our students do every year

Some features of the Project-based Education:

Relevant education

An education connected to students' interests, passions and gifts. With topics that interest them. That curiosity is at the center of the experience but always ensuring that the subjects are academically sound.

In-depth education

The traditional model presents a very wide spectrum of knowledge without any depth. Unlike this, our model focuses on creating deeper experiences of exploration in learning.

Experiential learning

A learning experience based on doing and being. Trying new things, trying and experimenting so that students learn to make mistakes to learn from mistakes. Teachers are guides to learning.

21ST CENTURY SKILLS

Today's children need skills that are different from those their parents needed.

To excel in a changing and interconnected world, it is key that students develop and strengthen the following skills:

COMMUNICATION

Ability to listen to the ideas of others and communicate one's own ideas effectively

COLLABORATION

Ability to self-manage to participate in a highly functional way in a team that has a common goal.
It is the evolution from cooperation to collaboration.

CRITICAL THINKING

Effectively and thoroughly analyze problems or a context to formulate solutions, identify flaws and provide feedback to help improve.

CREATIVITY

To be able to think outside the traditional and ordinary. Seek and create new solutions for local and global problems.
Learn about the past, imagine and create a new future.

PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

Think about the needs of others as well as your own. Develop empathy.

SELF-MOTIVATION

Find a sense of purpose and curiosity to want to learn more through relevant content that connects the student to the problems that need to be solved through their academic process and
of life.

GLOBAL COMPETENCIES

Ability to work or collaborate with people from different countries, religions, political positions, cultures, races, needs or way of thinking.
